SPIN's Best Albums of 2010

More lists! Today we get SPIN's 40 favorite of the past year, and, as would be expected with a list from the SPIN folks, the list is boring and predictable but largely inoffensive. It includes several new blog favorites, but is actually most heavy on the old list-topping stalwarts: Kanye, Deerhunter, LCD, Arcade Fire, M.I.A., etc.--a.k.a. it includes basically the same people it includes every year. Whatevs. Not too much to quibble about. Top ten's after the jump, and the whole thing is here.

10. Robyn--Body Talk, Pt. 1
Interesting that they chose just Pt. 1 as opposed to the whole package. Good stuff, though.
9. Kid Cudi--Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager
Eh.
8. M.I.A.--Maya
Her first total dud; I'm not sure why they like it.
7. Grinderman--Grinderman 2
Grinderman's a lot of fun.
6. Janelle Monae--The ArchAndroid
We'll be seeing this near the top of many a list, and deservedly so.
5. Jamey Johnson--The Guitar Song
Seems interesting enough, but I haven't listened to it.
4. LCD Soundsystem--This Is Happening
Yep.
3. Arcade Fire--The Suburbs
Surprise, surprise.
2. Deerhunter--Halcyon Digest
Good. Not this good.
1. Kanye West--My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
This is the first list that has put this #1, and I suspect it will not be the last.

Yeah, SPIN! Woo-hoo! Whatever... You can vote on their Readers' Poll on the website if you so desire.
